Chennai: Madras High Court Has asked the central government to ban the Chinese video mobile app ‘Tick-Talk’. The court said that this is spoiling the future of the youth and the minds of the children.
Hearing the plea filed by a lawyer, the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court on Wednesday issued an interim order to the Central Government to ban the downloading of this app in India and also broadcast the videos made through this app to the media Asked not to.
The court said that inappropriate content is being provided by Tick Talk and it is the social responsibility of the government to stop it. Earlier, Tamil Nadu Information Technology Minister M. Manikandan had said that the state would write a letter to the central government to ban the app in India.
The Tick Talk app allows users to shoot short videos and share it with others.
