Instagram announces the launch in France of its brand new Reels feature, allowing countless network users to create and edit short videos. This brand new format of short and entertaining videos is reminiscent of the TikTok platform. Reels seems to be the perfect competitor of the Chinese giant!

As the Californian juggernaut explains so well, “What makes Reels special and unique is that the videos created can not only be shared with loved ones, but also be discovered by the global Instagram community. It will be possible to share Reels in the news feed, and for public accounts, to share them in a new dedicated space in the Explore tab and thus be discovered by the Instagram community. Reels incorporates many creative tools like augmented reality effects, an extensive music library, and a new alignment tool that makes editing and creating Reels simple and fun. ”

Reels: instructions for use
To create a Reel, it’s very simple! A new tab “Reels” 🎬 is added at the bottom of the Instagram camera, just click on it. You’ll see a wide range of creative tools on the left side of the screen that you can use to create your Reel.
Just like on TikTok, you have the possibility of reusing a sound to create your Reels:
On your Instagram profile, you will see the new tab appear shortly 🎬 where you will find all your Reels:
