A TikTok shoot turned into tragedy on Friday, October 2, in Chihuahua, Mexico. A young influencer was staging a fake kidnapping when one of her film mates accidentally shot her, reports The Independent.
Minutes before her death, Areline Martinez appeared in the footage blindfolded, hand and foot bound, surrounded by men who threatened her with guns. Pointing his gun at his head, one of the “actors” shot him in the head. ->
The young woman did not survive her injury. She leaves behind a one year old son.
After his death, the platform withdrew his videos. However, images are still circulating on the web.
The fleeing shooters
After the incident, the shooters immediately fled. While they could be identified from video footage left behind, police are still looking for them.
According to the attorney general, it was accidental shooting, as the “actors” probably thought the guns were not loaded. “If anyone has criminal responsibility in this matter, they will have to answer for it,” he warned.
The authorities have launched an investigation to determine, among other things, the origin of the pistol and how it ended up in the hands of the shooters.
